THE DESIGN PROCESS
The Design Process may change slightly based on the individual project. Every client and every project is unique, I tailor my design services to meet your needs. My goal is to make your project a fun, stress free experience.
1
COMPLIMENTARY INITIAL
DESIGN CONSULTATION
I will meet with you in your home, office, or place of business to learn about your design needs, goals and design tastes. While there, I will gather information about your potential project, take photos and measurements of the possible areas of design, and discuss the Design Agreement.
3
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
This is when the fun begins!Once the agreement is signed by both you and I, and the down payment is received, I will start developing design concepts and exploring ideas to go over with you at your next design meeting.I will also begin to gather finishes and materials.
5
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
I am your agent until your project is complete, as much or as little as you want me involved.I will be the liaison between you and your contractors, visiting the jobsite when needed, and assisting you with decisions that may need to be made throughout the project. I am here to help alleviate your stress.
2
REVIEW & SIGN
DESIGN AGREEMENT
The design agreement will outline the areas of design and exactly what I will do for you. This includes the project scope and fees to help alleviate any surprises along the way. It is my goal to always keep an open line of communication between you and I. A down payment for my services will be discussed, and paid at the time of signing the Design Agreement.
4
DESIGN DOCUMENTATION
We will review the design concepts, finishes, and materials to determine the final design. Depending on the complexity of your project, you will receive hand drawn and/or computer drafted drawings for your contractor and/or written documentation of your design solutions. When applicable, I will obtain contractor bids and communicate with vendors on your behalf.
6
PROJECT COMPLETION
This is the time when I love to meet with you in your finished space, take final photos, and visit about the project.
